• We are facing a “new normal” rather than “business as usual” and we ask for your patience and understanding as we adapt our practice with the following in mind:

Our #1 priority is the health and well-being of our patients and staff.

We also want to keep you informed.

These are the steps we are taking as we move forward:

    Keeping you safe

    • We have been working tirelessly to ensure that our policies and procedures go above and beyond current Covid-19 related guidelines for health and safety as per Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health and the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta. This includes use of PPE, disinfection practices, screening and much more. Our policies and procedures are posted in the clinic and we are happy to share them by email (on request).
    • See our "what to expect" page for more details. You can find the link on our main menu at the top of this page. This is one BIG way we are putting our #1 priority into practice!

    Virtual Physio

    • We continue to offer Virtual (video) Physiotherapy sessions. We have been thrilled to see how much we can accomplish with this new way of delivering physiotherapy! No, we haven’t figured out how to do virtual IMS or massage - but a big part of what we do is education and coaching and getting you moving in ways that help you to achieve your goals. We also know a number of pain-relieving “tricks” that we can teach you to do at home. This is another way we are putting our #1 priority into practice!

    Booking your appointment

    • Guidelines dictate that we must prioritize patients based on urgency and we must determine whether a virtual physio appointment is more appropriate. We must also consider risk vs. benefit for in-person visits and this includes mandatory screening. For this reason there are a limited number of appointments that can be booked online. If you see a "contact to book" message in your therapist's schedule don't despair! This appointment is likely available - we just need to talk to you before scheduling it. We are ready to take your call at 780-433-5346.
    • We are working to contact patients whose appointments had to be cancelled during our recent closure. We will perform a screening with you to determine when and how we can best help you - virtually or in-person. This is another way we are putting our #1 priority into practice!

    Massage Therapy

    • Massage services are unable to resume until Phase 2 of the Government of Alberta’s re-opening plans. But we can still help. Our massage therapists can provide virtual services for things like pain-management advice and exercises. Or we can book you with one of our physiotherapists. If you are a massage therapy client, and haven’t seen one of our physios, we can collaborate to help you! This is another way we are putting our #1 priority into practice!

    If You Have Questions

We know that part of your well-being may have been seeing us regularly in the clinic. Seeing you and doing the work that we love is part of our well-being too! We want to help you in any way we can, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us by email at info@thrivetherapyclinic.com or by phone at 780-433-5346

You’ve likely heard the Government of Alberta’s exciting announcement that physiotherapists can resume treating in-person as of May 4th! While this is welcome news, there are a number of things to consider in returning to in-person care, as the threat of Covid-19 remains. Please click here to learn more about the steps we are taking as we reopen.
